I am a young Wiradjiri person from Hay and was raised on the lands of which my ancestors also occupied. I have recently joined the RMRA team, after serving as a primary delegate for 2 years, and am thoroughly enjoying my new role as the Western Community Connector. Community sustainability and prosperity for indigenous and non-indigenous peoples is a strong passion of mine and my role with RMRA allows me to explore great possibilities for our people everyday. Growing up with guidance from my father and other elders, I have learnt the true value in active listening and gaining an educated understanding from elders, peers, youth and community. I believe strongly in the local decision making process and creating local voices to speak on the wants and needs of the community. My goal as Community Connector Officer is to guide community in the right direction to access the services they require and achieve the community outcomes they desire.
